This company are a leading operations and maintenance contractor within the solar sector. They are seeing a period of impressive growth having established themselves as a leader in the industry. Due to this ongoing growth they are looking to bring in an additional Field Service Engineer to join the team and to be trained up to become an SAP.

As part of the field service team, you will work on a number of solar farms local to Yeovil, so must have a full UK driving licence. You will be paired with a Senior Engineer and receive extensive ongoing training. You will likely spend the first 6 months in intensive training to gain solar and HV qualifications before starting to work more independently. You will be involved in the full range of installation, upgrade, planned servicing, and repair work to a range of industrial scale solar equipment and plant. The business is happy to offer full industry training in solar equipment. For a qualified electrician you will be supported through, high voltage, AP, SAP and solar specific training courses. The role will be Monday to Friday day hours as standard, and once competent, a 1 in 4 call out rota for weekends and with the option for additional overtime to boost earnings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrician or electrical engineer to gain a whole new skill set within the solar sector, including training up to Senior Authorised Person level.

*Full industry training including; SAP, HV, and Solar specific training
*Monday to Friday days based role with on call rota and overtime available
*All work local to Yeovil
