About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a NPD Manager to join a growing and friendly food manufacturing business. This newly created role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for food innovation and product development.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of the innovation pipeline, leading projects across three production sites. Your focus will be on developing, improving, and launching new bakery and chocolate products for both branded and retailer customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end NPD process from concept to launch.
  • Develop innovative new bakery and confectionery products aligned with customer briefs and market trends.
  • Work closely with retail customers, ensuring all projects meet their quality, cost, and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, production, and commercial teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Manage trials, documentation, and product specifications to meet food safety and legal requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost optimisation projects.

About You

  • Proven experience in food NPD (Bakery and/or Chocolate background highly advantageous).
  • Strong track record of working with retailer accounts.
  • Creative, commercially aware, and detail-driven.
  • Hold a valid Food Safety certification.
  • Full UK driving licence (multi-site role).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Locations

Based primarily at the Yeovil site, with travel required to Poole and Gloucester.
