Configuration Management Engineer

Location: Yeovil, UK (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: 23 per hour
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential to extend)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (flexibility available)

TeamJobs is proud to be partnering with a leading engineering organisation in Yeovil to recruit an experienced Configuration Management Engineer to support a critical REACH obsolescence programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, safety-sensitive project within a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering environment.

Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Supervisor (Yeovil-based), you will play a key role in ensuring robust configuration management processes across engineering programmes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support and promote robust configuration management processes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve configuration issues

  • Provide guidance to engineering teams on configuration management best practices

  • Ensure all changes to product configurations are accurately documented, controlled, and communicated

  • Process design data releases and engineering changes

  • Create, manage, and revise Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs)

  • Maintain EBOM data integrity during transition from PLM systems into SAP



Mandatory Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, full BPSS clearance is essential, including:

  • Proof of Legal Right to Work in the UK

  • UK Criminal Records Check (DBS)

  • Drugs Screening



Skills & Experience

  • Intermediate experience in Configuration Management within an engineering environment

  • Strong understanding of PLM systems, EBOMs, and SAP integration

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
