Mechanical Design Engineer

Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and have opportunities for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on full-time basis starting as soon as possible.

The role will involve Mechanical Design Engineer of Aerospace equipment, the position holds the following responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
• May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and related experience and able to show proven capabilities in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Hours: Range of shifts available and some flexibility to work away form site

Days:

* Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)

35.00 to 45.00 per hour

Inclusive of shift allowance and depending on experiences
