Management Accountant (Maternity Cover) | North Yorkshire | £40-£50k FTC Equiv | 2-4 days per week | 8 month contract starting July/August

A leading SME in the agriculture sector, this business is gearing up for a key maternity cover hire in their finance team. With support from a team of five, they're looking for a hands-on, adaptable Management Accountant to join the business from late July/early August, with a 1-month handover before the cover begins in earnest.

What's the gig?

  • Support the FD and finance team with monthly management accounts
  • Get involved in stock accounting across manufacturing, agri-trade, and retail
  • Contribute to everything from accruals and journals to debtor chasing and invoice processing
  • Help prepare reports and outputs from Excel-based systems
  • Act as a flexible extra pair of hands - your role can be as broad as your availability allows

What you'll need:

  • Experience pulling together full management accounts
  • Confidence handling stock, accruals, and Excel-heavy workflows
  • Comfortable working with imperfect systems (they're preparing for an ERP upgrade soon)
  • A proactive mindset - someone inquisitive and curious, not just transactional
  • Ideally qualified (but qualified by experience also considered)
