A growing firm of Chartered Accountants in York is seeking a Trainee Accountant with 2+ years of experience in an accountancy firm.
The role involves preparing statutory year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping duties as required.
Candidates should be AAT qualified and either looking to start or already studying ACA/ACCA.
The salary for this position ranges from £25,000 to £30,000 per annum, with additional benefits including flexible working arrangements and fully paid study support.

Fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join a growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in York. This mid-size, 2-site, independent firm offers a wide range of services from audit, tax, bookkeeping, management accounts and accounts preparation. Supportive and encouraging, the firm are keen to support you through career, with excellent career progression opportunities.As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Preparation of statutory year end accounts for a variety of clients.
Preparation of management accounts to be sent to clients.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Bookkeeping duties when required.
Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

To be suitable for this Trainee Accountant, ideally you should meet the following:

Be AAT qualified and looking to start ACA/ACCA or already studying ACA/ACCA
2+ years’ experience working as a Trainee Accountant in an Accountancy firm.
Good written and verbal English.
