Marks Sattin working with a well-established business that's looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid finance experience who's ready to take on more responsibility and grow their career.Based near York, they are looking for a candidate to work closely with the Finance Manager with day-to-day transactional duties and support with some month end duties.For this role they will pay up to £40,000 on a full-time basis. This role is office based also.Responsibilities include:

Managing accounts payable and receivable
Handling bank reconciliations and reviewing transactions
Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
Preparing VAT returns, expense reports, and journals
Keeping financial records accurate and up to date
Helping the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with reporting and budgeting

Requirements

AAT Level 4 or similar qualification
Previous experience in a finance role
Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Comfortable using Excel and financial software
