Conrad Consulting are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected, RIBA Chartered architectural practice, with studios in both York and London, to recruit a Project Architect with exceptional design flair and conceptual creativity.
This medium-sized practice has carved out a prestigious reputation for delivering distinctive, design-led projects in the high-end bespoke residential and boutique hospitality sectors. Their London portfolio features "Super Prime" residential developments in areas such as Mayfair and Chelsea, while their hotel work focuses on immersive, experience-driven boutique designs that demand originality and wow-factor.
As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and imaginative Project Architect to join their dynamic and collaborative studio just outside York city centre.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a design-focused Project Architect to take the lead on high-profile luxury residential and hospitality projects. You will be entrusted with developing unique concepts and translating bold ideas into exceptional spaces. Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, you will have full autonomy over design direction-this is a practice where design is not an afterthought, but the driving force.
Who They're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a creative, ambitious Architect with a passion for beautiful, functional spaces and a portfolio that demonstrates strong concept development across RIBA Stages 0-2. More than just technical ability, this role demands someone who thinks like a designer-someone who can elevate a brief into something extraordinary.
They are looking for a career-driven professional who enjoys being part of a supportive team and thrives in a positive, entrepreneurial environment. Cultural fit is just as important as experience; they want someone personable, collaborative, and enthusiastic-someone who sees design as both a craft and a calling.
Key Requirements
- RIBA/ARB registered Architect with approximately 5+ years of UK practice experience
- Outstanding design portfolio, demonstrating concept-driven work and strong visual communication
- Proven experience across RIBA Stages 0-2
- Passion for architecture and a strong awareness of design trends and innovation
- Excellent presentation and client-facing skills
- Previous experience in high-end residential and/or boutique hospitality projects is highly desirable
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary: 42,000 - 46,000 DOE
- 25 days holiday + additional benefits (life insurance, critical illness cover, death in service, pension contributions, professional fees paid)
- Clear path to progression, with opportunities to move into Associate level
- Flexible working hours within a collaborative, design-led studio environment
This is a truly exciting opportunity for a passionate designer to join a highly regarded architectural practice where your creativity will be valued, encouraged, and fully supported.
