Benefits include:-

  • Overtime - time and a half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday after 37 hours worked;
  • 37 hours per week - 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break - flexi time is available

Duties for the CNC Machinist include:

  • To manufacture components and parts, generally from aluminium, stainless steel and plastics, in accordance with drawings, technical specifications and tolerances.
  • To setup & operate manual and CNC milling machine and manual lathe including planning a sequence of operations to allow efficient manufacture.
  • Support LEAN activities within the machine shop to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize waste during the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide feedback on improvements to design and machine shop equipment to support efficient manufacture of components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and tolerances.
  • Manufacture of components using manual milling machine and manual lathe to required quality standards
  • Complete Quality documentation (NCR, ECN etc.)
  • Carry out standard machine maintenance

To be successful as a CNC Machinist you will:-

  • Have prior experience operating a CNC Mazak machine.
  • Competent in the use of precision measuring devices
  • Capable of working with limited supervision
