This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop specialist technical skills and grow within a supportive and established business.
You will be trained to:
- Create detailed technical drawings based on architect's designs, in line with the commercial and contractual requirements outlined by the estimating team
- Use CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models
- Check colleagues' drawings for accuracy
- Apply product knowledge and engineering principles to come up with solutions to design problems
- Interact with clients, engineers and architects at design team meetings, liaising with the project team through all stages of design up to delivery on site
- Prepare and issue material procurement schedules to place orders with suppliers, coordinating delivery with their contracting team
To succeed in the role, you will need to have:
