TSR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support the Design team on a project in Hull. Established for 10 years, this Electrical contractor operates across the UK on projects ranging from general power, lighting heating and entry systems. Due to workload, this contractor is currently looking to add a temporary Junior Electrical design engineer   

This is a freelance role and can be ongoing on a long-term basis but would require travelling nationwide.

The Role

• Assist with creating and developing electrical designs and schematics using CAD software
• Assist with Producing and maintaining detailed electrical drawings, technical documentation, and bill of materials (BOM)
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to integrate electrical designs into larger systems
• Assist with evaluating design options to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and performance
• Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations

The Person

• Proficient in CAD software
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, circuit design, and electrical theory
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
