Description

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and policy interpretation.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
  • Support line managers with performance management and workforce planning.
  • Lead on complex casework, offering practical solutions and minimising risk.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures to support organisational growth.
  • Deliver relevant training sessions to staff and management on HR best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on all employee relations matters.

Profile

A successful ER Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in employee relations within the not-for-profit or similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships across all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Experience managing complex casework effectively and efficiently.
  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
