HR Business Partner - York - 40,000 to 45,000
- 12 Month FTC. Are you an experienced HR professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a well-established organisation based in York that is seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded HR Business Partner to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders to drive strategic people initiatives.
The Role
As HR Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in aligning the people strategy with business objectives. You'll work closely with leadership teams to provide expert guidance across all areas of HR, including organisational development, employee relations, performance management, and talent planning.
You'll be a trusted advisor, helping to shape a positive and high-performing culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic HR solutions that support business goals.
Lead on employee relations matters, providing expert advice and ensuring fair outcomes.
Support organisational change and transformation projects.
Drive talent management, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively communicated.

About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and able to influence at all levels. You'll bring a strong generalist HR background and a passion for delivering impactful people strategies.
Essential:

Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above).
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable:

Experience in a multi-site or matrix organisation.
Exposure to change management and organisational development.
