Solicitor - Commercial Property

Location: York, City Centre

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive

Reed Legal are delighted to be working on an exclusive and retained basis with Guest Walker - a highly reputable, small, family-feel Firm based in the centre of York. One of the main things that stands out about this firm is that they are now an Employee-Owned Trust - ran by the employees, for the employees. They are very busy across every department, turning away work, so are looking for ambitious people who are keen to progress, and have a specific live role in Commercial Property.

The role:

A qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience in Commercial Property or Residential Property (any level will be considered including NQ’s). Guest Walker are also offering the rare opportunity for Residential Conveyancing Solicitors to make the move to Commercial as they are willing to train and support people to make the transition.

The role will be to handle a busy and diverse caseload of high-quality work and clients that you wouldn't necessarily expect from a small firm.

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid working and flexible start and end times, allowing a better work/life balance and flexibility to manage caring responsibilities (other working arrangements e.g. Part-Time may also be considered)
  • Generous Annual Leave allowance plus Christmas and New Year Close Down, meaning more time for the things you love
  • Being an Employee Owned Trust provides security that the business will not be bought out by a larger firm and also enables profits to be shared amongst staff through tax-free bonuses, making this one of the best Bonus schemes I’ve seen in the Legal Market
  • Real potential to progress and become a Director quickly if desired
  • They take a supportive approach while also not managing people too closely
  • Busy caseloads with high quality clients and work, often surprising for the size of the firm

I genuinely think this firm offers some of the best opportunities on the market at the moment and would be ideal for a Solicitor who’s looking to take the next step in their career as they can offer great work and opportunities, while also really looking after their staff.
