Position: Area Cleaning Supervisor

Salary: £32,250.00 - £34,000.00

Included: Company Van & Fuel Card

Location: Covering sites across York

Hours: 40 hours per week | Early morning start required

Shifts: Working 5 days out of 7 (business dependant) - Generally Sunday - Thursday

Days Off: Friday & Saturday but this is flexible dependant on business requirements

Our client, a national leader in soft facilities management services, are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Supervisor to be responsible for cleaning operations of circa 50 retail sites.

Job Purpose:

To carry out high- and low-level cleaning works at supermarket retail stores to a pre-determined standards and specification in an efficient, professional and cost-effective manner whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Job Responsibilities:

• To always represent the company in a professional manner and develop a good working relationship with the regional & store teams.
• Responding promptly and positively to complete Planned Cleaning Tasks (PCT) to the clients and employers specification.
• To complete ALL PCT within the agreed time frames and as specification by site.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete PCT are always available and serviceable.
• Attending training courses as and when necessary.
• Always Complying with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Work with colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
• Complying with any other reasonable request or instruction from the management team.

Candidate's background & experience: -

• Multi-site Cleaning management experience essential
• The successful candidate ideally will have a valid IPAF 3a/3b, with IPAF 2a beneficial.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Experience within supermarket retail operations would be desirable
• Strong people management experience
• High degree of flexibility in working hours (Working any 5 days in 7) including early starts, etc.
• Nature of the role may require the jobholder to work outside normal working and agreed contract hours.
• Smart and tidy appearance
• The individual must be IT literate
• The individual must be able to complete/compile clear written documentation associated or maybe associated to the position.
• Effective communication with all members of the NIC Management Team.
• The must be able to work at height.
• The colleague must be and able to work away from home as and required and as the business demands.

• Proficient in IT in the use of Excel, Word & Email

Candidates need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment and for a demanding client.

Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence and be prepared to travel daily.
