Job OverviewCastlefield are delighted to be working in partnership with a well established organisation based in York who are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join the team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of payroll systems, making it essential for the successful execution of payroll functions.

Duties

  • To run the monthly payroll for all the companies within the Group including inputting data from a variety of communications eg timesheets, overtime etc and ensuring data is input to meet payroll deadlines
  • To review, maintain and administer expense claims ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
  • To manage HMRC communications including RTI
  • To deal with payroll/inland revenue/ employee enquiries relating to payroll, expenses etc
  • To support the Payroll Manager towards the achievement of the Group’s strategy, goals and objectives
  • Any other duties and responsibilities appropriate to your role.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role within an accounting or HR environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
