The Role

As part of a collaborative R&D environment, you will support the design, testing, and development of precision scientific instruments. Working closely with senior physicists and engineers, you will help translate physical principles into practical, high-performance systems, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and execution of experiments related to electron-optical and surface science technologies.
  • Support the development and testing of components and subsystems for advanced instrumentation, including microscopy platforms.
  • Carry out experimental work in laboratory and cleanroom environments, including exposure to vacuum and surface analysis systems.
  • Analyse experimental data and contribute to technical reports and documentation.

About You

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline.

  • Familiarity with electron microscopy, vacuum systems, or surface science techniques is advantageous but not essential.
