We have a new role for an experienced M&E Contract Manager who has experience of working in a Critical Environment to join our client's team on a site in North Yorkshire. You will be leading a team of engineers to provide the M&E maintenance across a critical site and will be in charge of the financial side of the contract (Profit & Loss).
Please note, you must have experience of working within a critical environment (Data Centres, Hospitals, Banks with trading floors,Defense etc) and also be qualified electrically, to be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management

Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and remedial follow-up tasks performed by the engineering team.

Lead and participate in operations meetings, driving performance and continuous improvement.

Manage internal contract reviews and reporting processes.

Coordinate small works, including quotation approval, project oversight, and quality review.

Schedule and manage the call-out system to ensure 24/7 responsiveness.
People Management

Lead recruitment, onboarding, and appraisals to ensure teams are fully staffed and performing effectively.

Provide coaching, guidance, and support to enable employee growth and development.

Identify and fulfill basic and advanced training needs, ensuring competency and future readiness of all team members.
Performance & Reporting

Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on contract performance, including KPIs, health & safety, and financials.

Manage and review contract financials—focusing on revenue, profitability, debt, WIP reduction, and cost savings.

Develop strategic financial plans to drive contract growth and ensure targets are exceeded.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety (EH&S) policies.

Regularly review working conditions and subcontractor practices to maintain a safe work environment.

Support QHSE internal audits and client audits.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Foster strong, client-focused relationships to ensure satisfaction and contract retention.

Collaborate with clients on energy management strategies and sustainability initiatives.
Salary and Package:

Salary of £65,000 + Performance bonus of up to 15%

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
