Our client in North Yorkshire is on the lookout for a dedicated Quality Assurance Technologist to join their vibrant team and contribute to their mission of producing top-notch food products.

About the Role:

As a QA Technologist, you will be at the heart of maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that our client is known for.

Your keen insights and diligence will help ensure that every product meets exceptional quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine calibration, sampling checks, and audits as per the site Quality Manual.
  • Document and manage corrective actions to swiftly address process issues.
  • Monitor production lines daily for quality and safety, reporting any concerns to Senior Management.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to good Manufacturing practises.
  • Execute product sampling and micro swabbing as necessary.
  • Schedule and document Quality Assessments and Taste Panels.
  • Audit documentation to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate product quality against specifications.
  • Calibrate food safety equipment as required.
  • Record and report equipment faults, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Monitor product weights, temperatures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct traceability and mass balance exercises when needed.
  • Uphold high hygiene standards and promote safe working practises among team members.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a quality role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A growth mindset, adaptable to change and thriving in variety.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to take initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Food Safety Qualification Level 2 is preferred, but training can be provided.

Working Arrangements:

Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm

Salary: £27,300
