Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction
£60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus Scheme + Excellent Benefits

 

We are working with a well-established, award-winning design, build and reactive maintenance company that operates across the leisure, hospitality, commercial, and public sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team and oversee large-scale commercial projects across the UK and beyond.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, proactive Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has experience running major projects of varying scale, and ideally brings knowledge of the hospitality sector.

 

As a key member of the business, you’ll take full responsibility for projects from inception to snagging and completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. You’ll also play a vital role in managing client relationships, keeping stakeholders engaged and supported throughout the project lifecycle.

 

The role involves travel across the UK, Channel Islands, and occasionally further afield, so flexibility in working hours is required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and control of assigned projects from start to finish.
  • Appoint and monitor labour and site management with the Head of Contracts and wider team.
  • Manage and analyse labour costs alongside the QS.
  • Produce project programmes, contractor reports, and meeting documentation.
  • Lead client and contract meetings, ensuring communication is clear and professional.
  • Oversee snagging works and sign-off with support teams.
  • Take full responsibility for health and safety across all stages of the project.
  • Monitor compliance for all on-site personnel.
  • Liaise with client direct suppliers and the supply chain team to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Promote commercial awareness and ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Lead snagging and handover meetings with design teams.
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to agreed quality expectations.
  • Provide regular progress updates and strategic input to the Head of Commercial and contracts team.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Strong track record managing large-scale commercial projects, ideally in hospitality.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a busy environment.
  • Skilled communicator and negotiator with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong IT skills – proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Professional project management qualification desirable.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality work and excellent client service.
