An established and reputable electrical contracting firm based in York is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors on-site and in-office
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance across all projects
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Support estimating and quoting processes for new and ongoing contracts
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality checks
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance reviews for staff
- Monitor inventory, materials, and procurement requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry
- Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, AM2)
- ECS Gold Card or equivalent
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience with NICEIC processes and periodic inspection reporting
- SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification
- Familiarity with smart home and energy-efficient system
