Main Purpose:
Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) input to adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) within Bio-Psycho-Social rehabilitation model. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support communication and swallowing needs, enhance quality of life, and promote recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive SaLT assessments and evidence-based interventions for communication and swallowing (dysphagia) needs.

  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and management plans.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff, families, and communication partners.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and contribute to service development.

  • Liaise effectively with internal and external professionals and family members.

About You:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

  • HCPC registration (essential).

  • Dysphagia competencies achieved.

  • Experience (min. 18 months) in neurology or acquired brain injury settings.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
