Using the Jobs and Careers Connector in Claude

The Jobs and Careers Connector lets Claude search live job listings across the United States directly inside your conversation. Ask Claude to find roles by title, location, salary, company, or work arrangement, and Claude will surface real, currently open postings, with links you can follow straight to the application.

Jobs and Careers aggregates job postings from employers and job boards across the US and is purpose-built to take candidates from search to a completed application without bouncing between sites.

What you can do with the Jobs and Careers Connector

  • Search by role. Find jobs by title or keyword. Jobs and Careers automatically expands common abbreviations (e.g. “RN” also searches “Registered Nurse”) and broadens domain queries to closely-related titles (e.g. “marketing” includes Marketing Manager, Brand Manager, and Marketing Coordinator).
  • Search by location. Look up jobs by city, state, or both. You can also set a search radius (in miles) around a city. Common shorthand like sf, nyc, or chicago is recognized and normalized automatically.
  • Filter by salary. Set a minimum salary floor and only see roles that meet it.
  • Filter by employer. Narrow results to a specific company.
  • Find remote roles. Restrict results to remote-friendly positions on request.
  • Refine across turns. Keep refining the same search (“only show ones over $120K”, “now only at Microsoft”, “show more results”). Existing filters are preserved unless you change them.
  • Disambiguate ambiguous titles. When you use an abbreviation that could mean multiple things (for example, “PA” could be Personal Assistant or Physician Assistant), Claude will check before searching.

How to set up the Jobs and Careers Connector

  1. From Claude.ai, navigate to Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click Browse connectors and find Jobs and Careers.
  3. Click Connect.

No account or login is required. Simply connect and start searching.

The Jobs and Careers Connector is available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise Claude plans.

Example prompts

Once connected, just ask Claude in plain English:

  • “Find software engineer jobs in Seattle paying at least $150K.”
  • “Show me remote product manager roles.”
  • “Are there any registered nurse jobs within 20 miles of Chicago?”
  • “What driver jobs are open in SF?”
  • “Show me marketing roles at HubSpot.”
  • “Find data science jobs in California paying over $180K.”

You can also refine an existing search:

  • “Now only show ones in California.”
  • “Only at Google.”
  • “Make it remote-only.”
  • “Show more results.”

Tips for best results

  • Be specific about location. Claude infers cities from common shorthand, but for less well-known places, including the state (e.g. “Springfield, IL”) gives more reliable results.
  • State salary as a number. “Paying at least $120,000” or “above $80K” both work.
  • Use natural job titles. You don’t need to match an exact taxonomy. Claude will translate fields like “data science” into the right job titles (“Data Scientist”) for you.
  • Refine instead of restarting. Adding a constraint to your existing search is faster, and Claude will keep the rest of your filters in place.

Coverage and limitations

  • United States only. The Jobs and Careers Connector currently returns US-based postings. International roles are not supported.
  • Discovery, not application. Claude helps you find roles and surfaces links to the listings. To submit an application, follow the link to the listing and complete the application there.
  • Live data. Results reflect the current state of the index at query time. Postings are added and removed continuously as roles open and close.
  • Read-only tools. The connector only reads job-listing data. It does not modify any data, post jobs, or take any action on your behalf.

Privacy and data handling

  • The Jobs and Careers Connector accesses public job-listing data only. It does not access any personal account data, rĂ©sumĂ©s, or application history.
  • No account or authentication is required.
  • Search queries are used only to retrieve relevant job listings.
  • All data transfers between Claude and the connector are encrypted in transit.
