Schedule: Monday – Friday | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (20 hours/week)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time School Custodian to join our team in Abbeville, SC. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.

With consistent weekday evening hours (no weekends!), this position is ideal for anyone seeking steady supplemental income, a secondary job, or a predictable part-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• General Cleaning: Perform daily routine cleaning of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Restroom Sanitation: Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms daily.

• Floor Care: Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop hard surface flooring.

• Waste Removal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed.

• Dusting & Surface Care: Dust furniture, desks, windowsills, and fixtures.

• Other Duties: Complete additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor to keep the facility in top condition.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Dependability: Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently during evening hours.

• Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift standard cleaning supplies or waste bins throughout the shift.

• Attention to Detail: Pride in keeping spaces fresh, sanitary, and well-organized.

• Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard background check suitable for school environment employment.

• Experience: Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate!
