Job DetailsJob Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 Salary/yearPosition title: Financial Systems Analyst II - Budget Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Clearance required: TS/SCI   Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Support the formulation of organizational, program, and project budgets, including gathering data, forecasting funding needs, and developing budget plans. Assist in the justification of budget requests by preparing analyses, narratives, cost projections, and supporting documentation for leadership review. Participate in the execution of approved budgets, tracking obligations and expenditures, monitoring variances, and ensuring funds are used appropriately. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support decision making. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, auditors, and stakeholders. Maintain and update financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with budget processes. Coordinate with internal departments to collect financial information, resolve discrepancies, and support audits or reviews. Assist in developing and refining budget policies, tools, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance. Provide guidance and support to staff on budget processes and system functionality. Qualifications Associates of Arts or Science OR two-year technical school degree + minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR High school diploma / GED plus 10 years’ experience. Knowledge and skill in the applications of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of budgeting. Minimum of 3 years relevant budget management experience, or military experience E4 and up.
