JOB TITLE: Clinical Technician

 

Position Summary

The Clinical Technician/ Healthcare Assistant’s primary role is supporting, educating, and treating our Sleep Apnea and Temporomandibular Disorder patients. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, motivated, and passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life through better sleep and airway health.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain HIPAA Compliance
  • Attain dental x-ray certification within 2 months of hiring
  • Attain/Maintain AHA BLS certification
  • Make sure the treatment rooms are ready, stocked and clean
  • Take CBCT, Panoramic Xray, and Digital impressions of patient
  • Review and update the patient’s health history, chart, and forms
  • Discuss the risks associated with Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Educate patient on oral appliance therapy for sleep and TMD
  • Assist the Doctor when examining patients
  • Keep the patient records current & accurate to Schedule the patient’s next visit
  • Maintaining lab cases for all Sleep/ TMJ appliances cases
  • Be responsible for the sterilization of instruments and equipment
  • Act as a liaison between patients, team members and physicians
  • Ensure that all referring doctors receive notes for all referred patients to Follow up with team members, patients, physicians
  • Fit and adjust oral appliances and orthotics
  • Make morning occlusal guides
  • Use and maintain 3D printer
  • Attend continuing education courses to continue to progress professionally
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by sleep dentist
