POSITION SUMMARY  

The Senior Operations Manager in Aberdeen, SD supports the grain operations activities at Agtegra to obtain optimum efficiency, economies of scale and maximize profits. Plans, directs, and coordinates operational and facility activities to ensure that policies, goals, or objectives established by the Leadership Team are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for overall operation of Innovation Center including shop, parts counter, personnel and training center.
  • Manages the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the facility and precision parts department.  
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of workflow to all employees assigned to work in all areas of the facility.  This may require working with other managers to share personnel.
  • Accountable for directing the cleanliness of the facility, equipment, and grounds around the facility.
  • Develops relationships with outside venders and internal and external customers to promote the most positive benefits to the Agtegra organization.
  • Prepares regular reports for management, as scheduled or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment and share information regarding facility utilization.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory management process and implementing an equipment maintenance tracking software program.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promotes operational excellence within the team.
  • Participates in all company/location driven communication efforts, including customer events, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Coach and motivate team members to meet performance standards through coaching, feedback, goal setting, communicating and maintaining fair and consistent application of policies and practices. 
  • Provide leadership in managing team performance, including setting measurable goals, tracking metrics, and holding employees accountable.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's Degree and 5-10 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Agricultural industry experience and knowledge required. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. 
  • English proficiency. 
  • Valid Driver's License. 
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, EPA and policies and procedures  
  • Knowledge of management and supervisory principles and practices, including program planning, contract requirements, budgeting, direction, coordination, and evaluation. 
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals within and outside the organization. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet.
