Job DetailsJob Location: HQ - Aberdeen, MD 21001Salary Range: $24.00 - $24.00 HourlyKey Point Health Services, Inc www.keypoint.org LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN HOURS: Full Time PAY: $24hr POSITION PURPOSE: The Lead Maintenance Technician oversees the maintenance operations for residential and commercial properties within the organization. This role ensures all buildings, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and compliant with regulatory and behavioral health standards. The Lead Technician supervises maintenance staff, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and manages facility-related projects from planning through completion. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to maintenance technicians and facility staff. · Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of all maintenance requests. · Conduct routine inspections of buildings. · Perform skilled maintenance work including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and general repairs. · Assist with office and residential furnishings including moving, building, and disposing of furniture or other office supplies. · Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance and repair for agency fleet vehicles. · Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance and construction projects, including renovations, upgrades, and capital improvements. · Collaborate with leadership, program directors, and compliance teams to prioritize facility needs. · Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to client care during maintenance activities. · Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules including acting as a liaison with various vendors as needed · Recommend improvements to operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and facility safety. · Participate in maintenance on call rotation. SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES This position reports directly to the maintenance supervisor, operations manager, or other designee. This position will collaborate with all other disciplines through interdisciplinary teamwork and assigned responsibilities. DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems. · Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems. · Strong communication, decision‑making, and organizational skills. · Ability to manage multiple tasks. · Experience mentoring teammates to identify and develop individual skills. Education and Experience: · 5+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related technical fields. · 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. · High School Diploma/GED required. · Valid driver’s license required. · Certification preferred, but not required. WORK ENVIRONMENT The lead maintenance technician works in a variety of environments including office setting, residential homes, interior and exterior grounds, basement, crawl space, and roofs.
