About the Opportunity

Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator – Quality Assurance to support Linux environments that enable mission-critical testing, validation, and operational readiness. As part of a multidisciplinary operations team, you will resolve increasingly complex Linux system issues while supporting enterprise operations, automation, system optimization, and advanced operational support activities.

As a Senior Linux Systems Administrator – Quality Assurance, you will leverage your experience to resolve complex operational issues, improve Linux platform reliability, and ensure systems remain ready to support testing, deployment, and mission execution.

What You'll Do

Linux Administration

  • Configure, administer, and maintain Linux operating systems supporting enterprise IT environments.

  • Install and maintain operating system software while ensuring system integrity, reliability, and availability.

  • Configure and maintain network components supporting Linux environments.

  • Manage daily Linux system configuration and operational activities.

Operations & Incident Response

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk incidents involving Linux systems and associated hardware.

  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and operating system issues while remaining engaged through issue resolution.

  • Communicate operational status, issue resolution, and escalation information to management and customers.

Automation & System Reliability

  • Develop Bash shell scripts that improve system stability and deployment repeatability.

  • Support automation initiatives that improve consistency across Linux environments.

  • Perform operating system enhancements that improve reliability and operational efficiency.

  • Optimize Linux system operations through capacity analysis, resource utilization monitoring, and performance tuning.

Performance & Customer Support

  • Analyze escalated operational issues and provide detailed technical feedback to management and customers.

  • Support continuous improvement of Linux operational processes.

  • Maintain reliable Linux environments supporting testing, validation, and operational readiness.

  • Contribute to increasing operational efficiency across enterprise Linux platforms.

Required Qualifications

Clearance

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph, at time of Application, to be considered for the position.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Four (4) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree.

Experience

  • Minimum of nine (9) years of experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or other national security missions.

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
