Software Engineer III

Overview

Tech(x) drives to deliver innovative technology solutions that support our DoW customer and their internal customers through software engineering, systems integration, and digital transformation. We are seeking a Software Engineer III with experience developing enterprise applications, integrating business systems, and implementing large-scale data migration solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern development technologies, collaborate directly with customers, and build scalable software that improves mission effectiveness and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

Represent the company while maintaining exceptional customer service and technical performance.

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise software applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Design and implement custom software solutions utilizing C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, PowerShell, and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms and third-party business systems using APIs and web services.
  • Design, develop, and execute large-scale electronic document and metadata migration strategies while maintaining data integrity and business continuity.
  • Analyze complex SQL Server and Oracle databases to identify data relationships, perform validation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure migration accuracy.
  • Develop workflows, electronic forms, automation solutions, and document management processes supporting enterprise business operations.
  • Perform software testing, quality assurance, validation, and defect resolution while documenting test plans and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, provide technical support, and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, and migration documentation.
  • Support Agile and Waterfall software development projects.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Must be skilled in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated experience developing enterprise software applications using C#, .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Experience developing and supporting Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience designing and implementing API integrations between enterprise applications.
  • Advanced SQL querying, database analysis, and data validation experience.
  • Experience performing large-scale data and document migrations while ensuring data integrity and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance, and production support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective software solutions.
  • Experience working directly with customers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to prepare organized technical documentation and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Education & Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in computer science or similar or a STEM degree. 
  • 4-9 years of software programming experience. 
  • 4 additional years with direct relatable experience can be substituted 


Location:

 

  • 210 Research Blvd., Aberdeen, Maryland. 
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On-site schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval.
