SUMMARY
As a Floor Care Technician, you are the driving force behind the resort’s first impressions, keeping our high-traffic public areas and guest spaces immaculate. You will operate professional equipment to maintain, clean, and restore a variety of flooring surfaces, including carpet and tile. Working closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams, your expertise ensures our resort always delivers a safe, luxury visual experience for our guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces, including carpets, tiles, and cement floors
- Respond promptly and professionally to all service calls via radio, phone, or earpiece
- Coordinate, as needed, special cleaning projects and collaborate with management to meet unique floor care needs
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of all floor care equipment
- Identify and report any floor-related issues or concerns to management
- Maintain familiarity with the entire resort complex and outlying areas
- Securely maintain and properly care for radios, keys, and resort vehicles, ensuring their return at the end of each shift
- Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills with both internal and external guests
- Collaborate politely and professionally with other departments and managers regarding special cleaning needs
- Follow all OSHA standards and resort guidelines for safe machine and chemical use
- Support other areas of the housekeeping department as needed due to business demand or management request
- Ensure personal accountability for all work duties, assignments, and performance expectations
- Provide and receive feedback in a positive manner, earning respect from others by consistently displaying a positive attitude and behavior

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience operating commercial floor care cleaning equipment helpful
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license; 21 years of age or older to be insurable under the Resort’s insurance policy.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

TYPICAL PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects and to communicate verbally
- Continuously required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30lbs
- Earpieces may be required to be worn at times to avoid interfering with the guest experience
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Capable of handling stressful, fast-paced environments with long hours due to business demands
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work environment may be loud and fast-paced
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Parking assignments may vary seasonally, and employees should be prepared for the possibility of an extended walk to the building
