PurposeÂ
The Project Manager – IMS will be responsible for managing small to medium sized technology implementation projects with low to medium complexity. This position reports to the Practice Director or a Managing Principle within the Apps Associates PMO.Â
Job DutiesÂ

Collaborate with client contacts managing cross-functional client project team members to facilitate project deliveryÂ
-
Collaborate with Apps Associates project team members, who are both onshore and offshore, to successfully deliver projectsÂ
-
Manage the execution of the project's activities and resources in partnership with the practice technical leads and business partnersÂ
-
Lead project teams through scoping definition and ensure all execution efforts align to project goals.Â

Lead project team through the production execution of upgrade and migrations which may take place over weekendsÂ
-
Lead the establishment of measurable and achievable critical success factors for the projectÂ
-
Control planning and execution to ensure that cost, time, and quality goals are metÂ
-
Develop and maintain project plans and related project artifactsÂ
-
Provide view of plans and progress to dateÂ
-
Manage against the approved budget and recommend course correction as necessary.Â
-
Ensure project financial metrics are up to date consistently including project baselines, change orders, estimate to complete and estimate at completeÂ

Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure status clarity and clear expectationsÂ
-
Adhere to the Apps Associates project management methodologyÂ
-
Possesses the ability to turn troubled projects around when and if neededÂ
-
Utilize Apps Associates internal application technology for project management functions including Project Management, Estimating, Resourcing, and others.Â

Make continuous improvement a priority - The Project Manager should have a solid grasp of basic and many advanced project management principles, along with having experience in successfully applying and advancing those principles.Â

Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% if neededÂ

Remote work approved with on-site/customer facing work required periodically depending on project phase and/or customer requirementsÂ

For remote work, associate must have a dedicated space to conduct/attend meetings and perform job dutiesÂ
Required Qualifications:Â
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience. (focus in Business Administration or Information Systems preferred)Â
-
4+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Senior Consultant, Manager, or similar level roleÂ
-
Leadership of a minimum of four (3) full life-cycle implementations in the Project Manager roleÂ
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
-
Strong time management, organization, and collaboration skills Â
-
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet (preferred)Â
-
Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of business productivity tools (for example: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams)Â
-
Strong understanding of the cloud software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.Â

The Project Manager must have project management and/or hands on experience with at least two (2) of the following technologies:Â
