Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading the loading department, acting as a point of contact for scheduling and ensuring the department is adhering to safety standards and following daily work orders in a timely, safe and productive manner on 2nd shift at our Acworth, GA location.
Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conducts daily huddles with department regarding schedule and maintenance concerns.
- Confers with Manager, Shipping & Receiving on scheduling concerns. Communicates maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Associate.
- Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
- Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
- Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
- Moving of product to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Take product off the production line and store in designated location.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations.
- Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
- Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
- Material handling of all products.
- Follow manufacturing work orders.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.
- Proven leadership skills and abilities.
Equipment Used:
- Forklift, rulers, measuring tape, calipers, calculator, handheld tools, power tools
Working Conditions:
- Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
- Hours Worked: 40 hours per week – 2nd shift .
- Days/Week: Monday – Friday 3pm to 11:30pm
