We’re searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build. Christman Facility Solutions is looking for a Carpenter Foreman in our Mesquite, Texas region.

What You Will Do:

As a Carpenter Foreman, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides leadership and direction to subordinates as well as subcontractors and others on the job site.

  • Understands project scope and recognizes, tracks, and submits extra work requests.

  • Tracks and validates timesheets for crew members.

  • Builds barriers for various types of jobsite environments, including but not limited to scaffolding, drywall partitions, wood/metal forms, cabinetry work, etc.

  • Prepares work area by removing objects interfering with work, ensures all materials are at the jobsite, and performs preliminary work.

  • Works with varied materials including but not limited to wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.

  • Utilizes tools including but not limited to chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to erect and repair structures.

  • Utilizes tools including but not limited to levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.

  • Joins materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.

  • Safely operates a variety of saws and other carpentry tools.

  • Checks work along the way to ensure it meets all code and specification requirements.

  • Comprehends and follows epidemiology requirements and safety (ICRA and PCRA) documents.

  • Communicates and presents self professionally within publicly occupied jobsite locations.

  • Communicates effectively with other trades, and constantly works effectively in areas with multiple trades.


Expected Hours of Work and Travel: Full time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Five (5) or more years of carpentry experience.

  • -or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.

  • Have the ability to take measurements and make calculations.

  • Have good communication skills both orally and in writing.

  • Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.

  • Ability to problem solve when errors occur.

  • Keep tools and workspace organized.

  • Must be conscious of time schedules and deadlines.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Must be able to tolerate heights without fear.

  • Must have own hand tools that are worn at all times, power tools to be provided by Christman.
