Fusion Education Group is a fast-growing organization with a nationwide network of private middle and high schools (grades 5–12). We’re seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and analyses. This role partners closely with the accounting team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial results, maintain strong internal controls, and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes. The position is integral to the month-end close process, financial reporting, and ad hoc analyses.Â

What You’ll Do:Â
- Timely completion of month-end close tasks, including preparation of journal entries, variance analysis, and accurate financial reportingÂ
- Prepare and review complex balance sheet account reconciliations, including supporting schedules, investigation, and resolution of reconciling itemsÂ
- Perform financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for improvementÂ
- Partner with other business units to support accurate financial reporting and resolve accounting issuesÂ
- Manage large volumes of financial data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailÂ
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and process changes, including data validationÂ
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirementsÂ
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses, as assignedÂ

What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of public accounting or 4 years of general accounting experienceÂ
- Strong analytical skills and intermediate to advanced Excel proficiencyÂ
- Experience with systems (e.g., NetSuite, Great Plains, SalesForce).Â
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of financial data accuratelyÂ
- Process-oriented mindset with an understanding of downstream impactsÂ
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and resolve complex issuesÂ
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentÂ
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesÂ
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsÂ
