- Ensure completeness and correctness of all orders filled
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise and correct type of product is loaded and shipped
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with cherry picker
- Report quality issues on all products
- Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Tag any open and/or damaged boxes on racks for safety
- Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory
- Unpack received products, count, weigh and/or sort items
- Mark and/or tag containers with identifying information
- Communicate problems with cherry picker, structures, or materials
- Pick orders by reading pick tickets, move products to the shipping area and operate RF scanners during order picking
- Inspect and complete the pre-shift inspection for the Cherry Picker
- Operate cherry picker to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as requested by Shipping Manager
- Assemble orders on pallet for shipment
- Carry or transport orders to staging locations
Qualifications:
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Management and co-workers
- Great attention to detail
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience operating a Cherry Picker
- Experience using RF Scanner
Working conditions:
Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to cold, heat, dust and loud noise. Push and pulling pallets and lifting products; Crouching is required up to 15% of the shift; Physical strength to handle up to 60+ pound object, frequently.
Above average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot and balance; above average endurance.
