Job DetailsJob Location: Dallas Office - Addison, TX 75001Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPosition Summary: The Architecture Associate is responsible primarily for drafting, reviewing, and producing construction drawings for new house types and revisions to existing house types. The Architecture Associate responds to architectural issues as they arise, ensuring architecture department standards and procedures are followed. Performing such other tasks as may be necessary in the day-to-day operation of the Department. Responsibilities and Duties: - Responsible for drafting and preparation of construction drawings from the completion of design phase through completion of construction documents and permit sets - Execute architectural plan adjustments as needed - Responsible for drafting plans using the current department drafting software - Execute architectural deliverables to Purchasing, Estimating, Production, Marketing, and Sales departments - Coordinate building systems including structural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil - Responsible for quality control review of projects - Attends Product Development Division calls as necessary - Provide plan clarification and plan distribution to Purchasing, Estimating, Production, Marketing, and Sales teams - Update status of assigned tasks in the Architecture Schedule - Complete all other duties as assigned by manager - Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications - Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment - Adhere to, promote and deliver on the DRB core values and mission statement - Position Standards: - Team Player - Attention to Detail - Knowledge of residential construction - Ability to create, manipulate, and read drawing files, plan blueprints and engineering drawings - Knowledge of MS Office - Organizational Skills - Positive Attitude - Self-Starter - Strong Communication Skills (written, graphic, and verbal) Position Requirements: - 2-year associates degree required - 4-year college degree preferred but not required - 1-3 years’ experience in residential CAD drafting required - Exceptional drafting software skills, with knowledge of Autocad / Revit preferred - Experience with taking design sketches through working drawings - Experience communicating graphically Qualifications
