ABOUT THE ROLE

Gordon, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead strategic sales efforts across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. In this role, you'll provide consultative support to architects and designers, helping them specify Gordon architectural solutions into major projects. You'll build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, coordinate closely with internal teams, and partner with Gordon's independent rep firms to secure major project contract awards and build lasting strategic alliances.

This position requires the candidate to physically reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with the flexibility to travel throughout the market on any given workday.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

●        Promote Gordon solutions to major architectural firms in the DFW market.

●        Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the day-to-day contact on project and product sales.

●        Implement project strategy alongside external sales reps and internal Gordon teams.

●        Develop collaborative, trusted relationships with national-level architects and construction partners in the DFW market.

●        Identify strategic projects with national-level architects and contractors, coordinating across territories as needed.

●        Develop construction partner relationships on specified projects to improve Gordon's likelihood of post-bid project award.

●        Partner with architects to design and specify Gordon products into their scope of work.

●        Create and implement account strategies for national architectural firms to increase visibility and engagement.

●        Develop specs, drawings, and details with internal technical resources to meet design criteria.

●        Work with the Global Director of Sales and respective Business Units to achieve sales targets in the DFW market.

●        Provide architectural and design support for architects, contractors, and manufacturers' reps.

●        Recommend and present innovative solutions to national-level architects while driving internal product and project feedback.

●        Create strategic project presentations with Marketing support.

●        Identify early design and development opportunities, providing insights gained directly from architectural partners.


WHAT YOU BRING

●        5+ years of experience in commercial building product sales.

●        5+ years of experience collaborating with national-level designers, architects, and engineers.

●        3+ years of experience in manufacturing.

●        Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent working experience in manufacturing, architecture, construction, or a related field.

●        A proven track record of sales success and growth.


SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

●        Proficient in MS Office Suite.

●        Proven success managing the full product specification lifecycle.

●        Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent presentation ability.

●        Strong sense of accountability — you do what you say you're going to do.

●        A positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

●        Comfortable identifying and escalating risk proactively.

●        Able to read and interpret project plans, product drawings, and specifications.

●        Capable of working independently and autonomously, with minimal instruction.

●        Open to feedback and adaptable to change.
