Position Summary
We are looking for a people-focused Senior HR Generalist to join a small, collaborative HR team and play an important role in supporting the employee experience. Reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager, this is a highly hands-on position with broad exposure to all areas of human resources, including recruiting and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, compliance, and special HR initiatives, such as implementing an Applicant Tracking System within our HRIS.
As part of a two-person HR team, the Senior HR Generalist will have the opportunity to make a visible impact, take ownership of meaningful responsibilities, and work closely with employees and leaders across the organization. At the same time, this role offers the benefit of learning from and being mentored by an experienced Senior HR leader, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their HR expertise and continue growing professionally.
The ideal candidate is bilingual andhas experience in a manufacturing environment (or an environment with a similar workforce, such as warehouse, distribution, or construction). We are looking for someone who is approachable, responsive, and comfortable balancing the people side of HR with the details and processes that keep an organization running smoothly, as well as someone who enjoys being a trusted resource for employees, brings sound judgment and discretion to sensitive situations, and is eager to contribute ideas, improve processes, and help create a positive workplace.
This position will work on-site Monday through Friday with an 8-hour workday within the window of 7am-5pm, with some flexibility on the exact hours.

Key Responsibilities
1. Recruiting & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, pre-employment coordination, and hiring manager support.
- Handle new employee onboarding (including orientation), internship program development/support, and other talent-related initiatives.
2. Payroll & Benefits
- Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain accurate records related to compensation changes, deductions, tax withholdings, benefits, and retirement contributions.
- Administer employee benefits, COBRA, leave requests, FMLA, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Support annual open enrollment and assists with on-going benefits & wellness education initiatives.
3. Employee Relations
- Serve as a primary resource for employee inquiries related to policy interpretation, payroll matters, benefits, leave administration, and employee relations concerns.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, communications, events, and programs designed to promote a positive workplace culture.
4. Training & Compliance
- Assist with performance review processes, training initiatives, safety planning, and compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain HR, payroll, and benefits records; conducts audits; and assists with required regulatory reporting, including EEO-1, ACA, and OSHA filings, as needed..
5. Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with team members in human resources and other departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and support business initiatives.
- Participate in selecting and implementing technology solutions.
- Contribute to special projects and other human resources responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field required
- 4+ years of HR generalist experience, including recruiting in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, or similar environment, employee relations, and benefits administration
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- Working knowledge of HR practices, payroll administration, benefits compliance, and applicable employment laws, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and workers’ compensation requirements
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems; proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Multi-state workforce experience is a plus
- SHRM certification is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
This position includes a base salary in the range of $85,000 - $95,000 (commensurate with experience) plus a quarterly performance bonus tied to measurable objectives.Â
