National Network Services (NNS) is seeking a skilled LV Structured Cabling Technician to support commercial cabling projects and assist in the development of junior technicians. You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role requires experience with structured cabling installations, pathway construction, cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and crew leadership.Â
The ideal candidate will be capable of mentoring entry-level technicians, leading small project teams, and communicating effectively with project managers, customers, and fellow technicians.Â

General RequirementsÂ
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening if required
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Â

- Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods

What You’ll DoÂ
Structured Cabling InstallationÂ
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specificationsÂ
- Install and support structured cabling systems in commercial environmentsÂ
- Layout and install pathways, ladder rack systems, cable trays, backboards, sleeves, and supporting infrastructureÂ
- Identify fire-rated walls and implement proper firestopping methodsÂ
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and industry best practicesÂ
Cable Termination & TestingÂ
- Set up and operate copper cable testing equipmentÂ
- Troubleshoot cabling issues using industry-standard test equipmentÂ
- Terminate and dress copper cabling on:Â
- 110 BlocksÂ
- Patch PanelsÂ
- BIX BlocksÂ
- Krone/ADC BlocksÂ
- Perform cable certification and testing to verify installation qualityÂ
Leadership & TrainingÂ
- Lead small crews on assigned tasks and projectsÂ
- Ensure safety, productivity, and quality objectives are achievedÂ
- Mentor and train Level I Technicians to support their career developmentÂ
- Assign daily work activities and provide field guidance as neededÂ
- Follow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers while supporting overall project successÂ
Pathway ConstructionÂ

- Demonstrated competency in all Level I Technician responsibilitiesÂ
- Experience installing structured cabling systems in commercial environmentsÂ

- Strong communication and organizational skillsÂ
- Ability to lead small crews and coordinate daily work activitiesÂ
- Valid Driver's LicenseÂ
- Reliable vehicle capable of transporting materials and ladders up to 8 feet in length between job sitesÂ
- Basic hand tools requiredÂ

- Industry certifications related to structured cabling or low-voltage systemsÂ
- Experience working in education, healthcare, industrial, or large commercial construction environmentsÂ
- Familiarity with BICSI installation standards and best practicesÂ
