Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer focuses on the architecture, reliability, and security of the enterprise cloud ecosystem. This engineer administers, manages, and troubleshoots the organization's cloud/on premise IT Servers, Systems and Network and also provides Level 2 and Level 3 support to IT Service Desk for complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, configure, and administer cloud infrastructure and hybrid systems.• Oversee and troubleshoot issues related to cloud-based and on-premise systems, ensuring efficient resolutions.• Take key role in cloud infrastructure projects involving multiple teams, departments, and stakeholders.• Provide Level 2 & Level 3 support to IT Service Desk, escalating and resolving complex technical issues.• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to optimize performance, resolve issues, and enhance system security.• Implement improvements in technical processes, ensuring systems' robustness, reliability, and performance.• Ensure infrastructure systems (cloud and on-premise) are properly licensed, maintained, and supported.• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures across the cloud infrastructure environment.• Assist in optimizing network connectivity, performance tuning, and expanding systems as business demands grow.• Manage and maintain cloud-based and physical storage systems, ensuring redundancy and backup systems are functioning.• Document procedures, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to training resources for end-users and IT staff.• Keep abreast of new developments & offerings within Azure Infrastructure, and test and recommend new solutions.• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.• 5-7 years’ experience in similar role; 4+ years of dedicated Azure Engineering experience.• Azure Infrastructure as a Service, App Service, Azure VDI• Infrastructure Administration of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory• Server Administration skills - Windows Services, IIS, Create Critical Alerts, Health Monitoring, File Shares, Advanced, Print Services, etc.• Intune and Office 365 Administration• Azure DevOps Administration and Configuration• MS Exchange Server and Exchange Online• Azure Administration – Entra ID, Identity & Permissions, Intune (Endpoint Manager), OneDrive, SharePoint, MFA, Universal Print, etc.• PowerShell Scripting, Remote Management tools• Networking - LAN/WAN, VLANs, Site-Site VPN, Layer 3 Switches, Routing, Firewalls etc.• Azure Certifications a plus
