Position: Armed Security Guard
Location: 聽852 S Westgate St, Addison, IL 60101
Schedule: 聽Friday 8:30am-2pm and Saturday 4pm-10:15pm聽
Status: Part-time

Position Overview
The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities
路 Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
路 Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
路 Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
路 Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client鈥檚 security protocols.
路 Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
路 Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.聽
Requirements
路 Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
路 High school diploma or equivalent required.
路 Valid firearms license or certification required.
路 Active PERC and FOID card required.聽
路 Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
路 Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
路 Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
路 Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
路 Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
路 Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Schedule and Availability
路 Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
路 Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
路 Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
