MK Magnetics (www.mkmagnetics.com) specializes in the production of custom and standard tape wound soft magnetic cores for transformers and inductors. All the cores we sell are manufactured on site in Adelanto, California, in a modern 75,000 sq. ft. facility specifically designed and built for manufacturing tape wound magnetic cores.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for collecting, reporting and filing data that is used by management in making Company decisions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collect data including running reports in MRP system, communicating with the appropriate production personnel and coordinating paperwork to verify labor information and record data in Core Cost Data Sheets (CCDS) for each job
  • Research any missing data or underreported data to ensure CCDS are as accurate as possible
  • Work with appropriate parties to confirm on-time shipment and report on-time delivery stats to management team on a regular basis 
  • Implement tracking of consumables for the Company, including tracking chemical supplies so that they can be properly discarded at time of expiration
  • Use established standards and checklists to re-qualify vendors and ensure performance to standards
  • Assist in processing material requisitions, including creation, approval coordination, ordering, and filing
  • Enter and track received material goods in the MRP system
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
  • Responds to purchasing requests in a manner that allows the office and shop to run effectively and efficiently
  • Assures that purchase orders have been properly authorized before placing orders with vendors.
  • Identifies vendors for goods and services; negotiating for the best pricing and delivery.
  • Works with vendors to identify and implement solutions to meet customer/production specifications.
  • Tracks purchases to ensure ordered supplies arrive and are distributed to requestor.
  • Checks invoices to verify correct pricing and forwards appropriate paperwork to the Accounting Department to ensure prompt and accurate payment to vendors.
  • Maintains files of goods and services provided by vendors.
  • Ensures the quality of purchased materials and services and if found inadequate determines corrective action.
  • Inventories supplies regularly and orders when needed to maintain inventory objectives.
  • Enters purchase orders and other required information into MRP system.
  • Processes receiving paperwork and files documents as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Type 40 WPM
  • Job BOSS software skills, preferred
  • Proven experience in extremely accurate data entry
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, orally and in writing is critical
  • Ability to be organized and maintain a clean work environment
  • Basic arithmetic and algebra
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
