Shore Point Distributing Company, one of New Jersey’s largest beverage wholesalers, is seeking a motivated full‑time Night Warehouseman to join our Alcoholic Division.
Shore Point Distributing Company is a family‑owned beverage distributor located in Freehold, NJ, carrying an extensive portfolio of Beers, Wine, Spirits, and Non‑Alcoholic beverages throughout the state, servicing Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Somerset, Warren, Hunterdon, Burlington, Mercer, Union, Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Sussex counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractor trailers and straight trucks within the yard only, including driving trucks from the yard into the drive‑through for loading and returning them to the yard once loaded.
- Pull product from the warehouse according to load sheets and build pallets based on company loading procedures.
- Load products onto trucks using a forklift or by hand when required, including pallets of cases or barrels.
- Stack and secure products on trucks to prevent damage during transport.
- Frequently climb in and out of forklifts throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Work overtime as required based on operational needs.
- Perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Deadline‑oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Dependable and reliable attendance.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 165 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Ability to occasionally push and pull up to 165 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Ability to unload, transport, and position product as required.
- Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain OSHA forklift certification.
Work Schedule
This position is typically scheduled Sunday through Thursday, with a start time of 7:00 PM. Shift start times and length may vary based on operational needs. Mandatory overtime may be required. During the slow season, a guaranteed 40‑hour workweek is provided.
Compensation & Incentives
This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $18.25 per hour during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the rate increases to $34.50 per hour plus weekly incentives. Scheduled annual wage increases apply.
