Position Overview

Our Finishing Technicians play a critical role in preparing high-precision aerospace components for final inspection and shipment. This position is designed for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional who takes ownership of quality, workmanship, and consistency in every part they touch.

The Finishing Technician is responsible for deburring, edge breaking, surface finishing, cleaning, and preparing machined components to meet customer drawings, specifications, and internal quality standards. This role requires strong visual acuity, disciplined execution, and the ability to perform intricate hand work with precision and care.

Success in this position demands focus, accountability, and pride in doing the job right the first time. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment, follows established procedures closely, and contributes to a culture of craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deburr complex aerospace components in accordance with customer drawings and specifications.
  • Create and maintain required surface finishes.
  • Break sharp edges and remove burrs on critical features to specification requirements.
  • Hand tap and chase threaded holes as required.
  • Wash and prepare parts for final inspection and shipment.
  • Inspect own work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Communicate effectively with production and quality team members as needed.
  • Support production flow by prioritizing work accurately and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Handle parts carefully to protect critical surfaces and dimensional integrity throughout the finishing process.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace or medical experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings related to surface finish and edge break requirements.
  • High visual acuity with strong attention to detail.
  • Steady hands and the ability to perform intricate, detailed work with precision.
  • Ability to stay focused for extended periods and transition between tasks as priorities change.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, dependability, and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace precision manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with surface finish, edge break, and customer cosmetic requirements.
  • Experience working from written work instructions and quality documentation.
