Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an Inventory Coordinator who will be responsible for organizing and maintaining our inventory. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently, and be detail oriented.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform physical kitting of components for mechanical assemblies
  • Perform MRP entries to allocate materials and components used in the production of subparts and assemblies including:
  • Raw Materials - Purchased hardware, Cadrex Southampton produced subparts, consigned materials
  • Manage all Shelf Life Items (ie adhesives, paints, etc.)
  • Manage MRP and physical inventory of fixtures used for CNC Machining, CMM Inspection, and Assembly
  • Lead and participate in routine inventory counts and annual full inventory process
  • Identify, analyze, and address gaps in inventory processes and results
  • Use assigned devices to take and save pictures of required packaging for WIP and finished parts
  • Serve as primary backup for creation of shipping documents
  • Serve as a primary backup for the shipping /receiving area

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
  • Attention to detail and quality

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
