As the Lead Automotive Technician, you're the go-to expert for mechanical repairs in our service center, trusted with professionally servicing our guests' vehicles to ensure top-quality work and an exceptional guest experience. In this role, you can increase your weekly pay through the flat-rate hours you complete, with unlimited earning potential based on flagged hours. With comprehensive training programs, you'll become certified to perform a wide range of mechanical services, including lubrication, core tasks, brakes, and tires, giving you the skills and confidence to succeed in your role. HOW WILL YOU DRIVE SUCCESS?

• Complete tasks within their qualifications across areas such as brakes, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, heating/air conditioning, suspension/steering, automatic transmission/transaxles, and manual drivetrains and axles
• Perform inspections on assigned vehicles following the proper internal process
• Clearly explain mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, which may include teammates and guests, on an as-needed basis
• Personally, road test vehicles before and after service work
• Secondary duties may include performing ancillary services such as:
  • Lubrication, including transmission and radiator fluid exchange
  • Fuel services, including fuel filter replacement and fuel system cleaning
  • Tire Rotations and Gearbox Service
• Use our current computer systems to prepare estimates for parts and labor
• Utilize programs and apps such as All DATA, AutoZone, O'Reilly, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by store leadership
• Promote teamwork to ensure timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Keep the training module completion up to date in our training system
• Keep the service center, especially their workstation, clean and presentable

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS.

• Minimum of three (3) years of automotive experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting
• ASE certification
• An automotive technical or trade school degree is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
