OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company’s Nuclear Services & Technology team provides full service nuclear design solutions to the federal government (DOE, NNSA, and NIST), nuclear research, and nuclear medicine. Merrick is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Mechanical Facilities Engineer to support our operations in our Aiken, SC office.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping system for a variety of facility projects.  Tasks include developing design calculations, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment selection and layout, ductwork and piping sizing and layout, support of project proposals, interdisciplinary coordination and participating of QA/QC process. Work in a design team environment and take design direction from senior-level engineers


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
  • Zero (0) to four (4) years related experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit experience.

  • Local candidates strongly preferred. 

  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
