Job DetailsJob Location: Aiken, SC 29801Position Type: Full TimeBrown Federal Services is actively hiring a Principal Project Controls Specialist to support operations at the Savannah River Site. This is a high-impact role focused on cost, schedule, and financial performance across complex DOE projects. What You’ll Do Lead development and management of project controls systems including cost, schedule, and financial tracking Build and maintain cost & schedule baselines, WBS structures, and spend plans Perform variance analysis and communicate drivers and corrective actions to leadership Support project reviews, cost meetings, and schedule updates Develop and implement change management processes for construction and engineering scope Conduct financial analysis including forecasting, scenario analysis, and performance tracking Maintain and analyze costing structures within PeopleSoft and financial systems Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and spend plans Identify cost and productivity issues and implement control improvements Provide technical leadership and guidance to project controls personnel Support system enhancements and integration of project control tools and applications Perform field walkdowns and support construction maintenance schedules and cost tracking Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent experience (Associate’s + 11 years or HS diploma + 15 years) Strong experience in project controls (cost & schedule) at a tactical level Advanced proficiency in: Cost management systems Scheduling tools Financial/estimating systems Experience with variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting Strong understanding of project lifecycle and construction operations Knowledge of CAS/FAR principles Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with PeopleSoft, OAS, and COBRA Prior experience at Savannah River Site (SRNS) Active or recent DOE L or Q Clearance
