Job Description

Join our workshop in Aiken, SC as a Roll Maintenance Mechanical Assembler

Our winning team is built by continuous investment in skills development, leadership, and well-being. We have an opening at our Aiken, SC facility as a Roll Maintenance Mechanical Assembler.

As a Roll Maintenance Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of gearboxes, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies in additional to setting up and operating boring bar, drill press, milling and honing machine.  Experience working with large, heavy manufacturing equipment with the ability to run overhead crane and forklifts safely and efficiently.  This is a 2nd shift position.  The ability to apply inspection techniques (e.g., formalized inspection standards, inspection instructions, best practices) and use inspection tools efficiently is a requirement to be successful in this position. Your understanding of how quality impacts the success of the organization and ensuring a quality product is provided consistently while continuing to strive for improvement.

Requirements

A high school education with previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years’ experience.  Knowledge of papermaking machinery a plus, but not required.  Willing to work with and train candidates with a high level of initiative and personal motivation.
